Kancil Awards 2008

My first Kancil Awards. Initially I didn't want to go after hearing my uncle telling me that it gets boring and more boring every year. But I had to experience it so I went.

Upon arriving, you can easily spot everyone from the advertising world. I mean, there's this certain trait in us that you can easily tell we're somewhat from the communications world.


I wasn't paying much attention to the whole thing because I was "mingling" with my uncle and his company of production people. And also another uncle from Y&R Malaysia. The settings for the award ceremony is much laid back. Pretty cool. One of the host is DJ Denise of MTV.



Then towards the half end of the awards show, BBDO won so many awards. Their Lego Trophy was stacking up at their table. Bloody hell.. Some of us said, they won because the jury chairman is from BBDO. Not a suprise I must say.



However we all thought BBDO will win Agency of the Year. Too bad.. it went to Saatchi & Saatchi.

LB won 2 only for Yasmin Ahmad & Kinokuniya. That's when our MD and my boss start to say "Next year I wanna see you on stage". Tiuz...

Now there's the challenge that lies ahead for all of us. Gotta work hard wei!!
